I started this blog so I can post my Scrapbooking pages, but recently decided it is time for me to get healthy so I am going to use my blog to motivate myself through sharing my success with others. I will still share other updates and Scrapbooking, so please come back and visit.

Rusty Pickle's Holiday Blog Hop!

Welcome Blog Hoppers!!! If you haven’t had a chance to start from the beginning, then be sure to visit the Rusty Pickle Blog by clicking {HERE} where all the fun began. We have so many talented ladies on the Design Team, I would hate for you to miss any of their amazing creations.

It is hard to believe the holidays will be here in a couple of weeks. I am not even close to getting my shopping done yet, but have been trying to think of ways to create my own gifts and decorations this year. One of my favorite things about the Holidays is decorating the tree. For so many years I had a traditional tree and two years ago I actually ditched all the old ornaments that were breaking and falling apart and got some new ones. This year I thought it would be great to create some of my own ornaments.

This project is inexpensive and doesn't require a lot of time at all. I purchased some X-Large clear glass ornaments from Michaels at 50% off (they always seem to be on sale for the holidays) so four of them only cost me $1.39. I cut strips of paper from a couple of my favorite Rusty Pickle Collections (pirate princess, candy land and pop star), I also added some strands of ribbon. Once everything is cut, you crumble and curl each of the strands and place them inside the ornament. To complete it just add a ribbon so you can hang it from the tree. You can add glitter, charms and all sorts of things to customize it for your tree and keep in mind this would be a great project to do with your kids.

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my Blog, be sure to hop over to see our next Chef Tiff to see what she has been up to.

If you are interested in buying any of the fantastic products Rusty Pickle has to offer and you are not able to find it in your local store. Keep in mind you can also shop at their online store by clicking {HERE}.

oh this is a super idea and you could use your team colors to fill the globes. We used to make all of our decorations in the beginning, like when I was first married and didn't have a lot of money. It is good to get back to basics.
